How does the seating work?
Dining and Cellar Door represents the main bar and outdoor dining space.
Outdoor seating is only allocated in Ballarat sunshine!

Credit card details are required to confirm your booking, please communicate via email bookings@mitchellharris.com.au any change in booked numbers or cancellations. Four hours notice is required to avoid a $50 per person charge taken from the nominated card.

SABRE by Mitchell Harris - the wine that started it all!

Crafted from a blend of 63% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Meunier and 2% Pinot Noir from the Pyrenees, Macedon, and Ballarat wine regions. The 2020 Sabre is a great follow on from previous vintages and see the increased use of Pinot Meunier in the blend to add finesse and liveliness to the middle and back palate. Meticulously crafted, the 100% barrel-fermented batches are carefully assembled and aged in the bottle on yeast for over three years, resulting in a wine that is both fine, complex and with great line and persistence. To further enhance its complexity, a dosage liqueur made from Pinot reserve wines adds just under 4.0 g/L sugar, creating a powerful yet fine aperitif style that is best savoured now or over the next 5 or more years.

One the 2019: Made from 68/32% chardonnay/pinot noir from the Macedon, Pyrenees and Ballarat regions. One sip and you know that you're in high-class territory. This is powerful, fresh and complex at once, its bready, heady, toasty flavours served racy and refreshing. Apples, grilled peaches, strawberries and lees; there's a lot going on here (it's a meal of a wine), and yet it remains festive and free-flowing. 95 points - GOLD.
