This unique fortified wine made from Henty pinot noir pressings is a must-try for those who enjoy a touch of sweetness in their drink. With over 75 g/L residual sugar, it can be enjoyed on its own, with ice and soda, or paired with your favourite white spirit.
Winemaker John Harris, has been working on his latest project for 5 years. That's when the pinot grapes were harvested for this Ratafia fortified, a style created by adding grape spirit to partially fermented grape juice. It was then matured in French oak for 5 years. Here is a deep, blush-hued, sweet-scented fortified that sings. Plum, cherry, earth, rose and potpourri scent. Time in oak brings a warm, mellow quality and intensity of flavour. Finishes with lively, spicy Turkish delight and rose petal. Deliciously grapey.
