A bold red built for the cellar.
Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and Shiraz (40%) combine seamlessly to create a powerful and complex, long-living Pyrenees classic. From a low yielding and cool vintage, two barrels stood head and shoulders above the rest for their concentration, power, structure and complexity. A stylish and refined blend that will reward careful cellaring. John Harris – Winemaker.
Peerick Vineyard, Moonambel
60% cabernet sauvignon, 40% shiraz, hand-picked and sorted, wild yeast-open fermented with 30% whole bunches, 70% lightly crushed/destemmed, 9-10 days on skins, matured for 10 months in French hogsheads (50% new), then a barrel selection. Very good colour, intense flavours ex the vintage. Will fully repay long-term cellaring. 94 Points
