On the 2018 vintage: Hand-picked, wild ferment, matured on yeast in French oak hogsheads. A super, cold climate expression of chardonnay that offers a different face of the grape to the usual Aussie sunniness. At just 12.5% alcohol it walks the line of green apples, nettles, pear skin, citrus. There's a wildness, too, a leesy creamy idiosyncrasy. Don't over-chill, let it open. 93 Points
